Thank you to all the speakers, our chair Anthony Painter, the staff at the Baltic Fleet pub and most importantly the audience for a stimulating and enjoyable event which showed Labour activists have exciting, credible ideas to address some of the challenges our country faces. Thanks also to Mike Harris, who’s original idea of running an event under the banner ’10 ideas in 10 minutes’ set the ball running and ultimately inspired Top Of The Policies. John Slinger.
The speakers had two minutes to do so, followed by two minutes of Q&A from the audience. Holding the ring was Anthony Painter. At the end, there we held a first-past-the-post vote, followed by a countdown and the announcement that THE WINNER OF THE BALLOT WAS AMANDA RAMSAY, with her policy of a one per cent levy on football transfer fees to fund school playing fields.
